“Let’s do it” a social responsibility project in Romania
A movement stat started in 2008, Estonia, where 50 000 people gathered together to clean 10 000 tons of waste in less then 5 hours.
By now more than 2 million volunteers have participated in cleanup actions in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, India, Slovenia, Serbia, Finland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Cambodia, Russia, Hungary and Brazil. More cleanups are being prepared in new countries for 2012.
Now we can do it again for Romania! ” Let’s do it Romania ” has been planned on the 24th of September in 2011 and that will be one of the moment’s of the year in which you can make a difference.
The main think you must understand is that Romania is my ” Land of choice ”, and if you fell like me, you will support this project in any means necessary.
Helping clean our environment and more importantly the follow-up, keeping it clean, are the two directions that the project should follow.
Why you may ask? Because if we continue with the project in this manner, Romania will never be clean like we want. I mean every year we clean Romania, a little bit at a time, and afterwards a part of the people put the waste back how it was, and we find ourselves in an endless cycle with not solid end.
The last thing I wish for, is to see as many people as possible in 24th of September, helping clean our environment and more people keeping it clean for the generations that are to come.
Post question of the day!
How would you help our environment stay clean?
